Dear supporters,

Thank you so much for signing this petition a while ago. We have been fighting for binational Malaysian couples and families to be allowed to reunite for more than a year now. As you may have heard in the news, we have had some success as the Malaysian government has decided to allow Malaysian citizens to leave Malaysia without MTP approval since 11 October 2021. 

Sadly there are still many Malaysians who can't reunite with their loved ones as they can't leave Malaysia due to work, health problems or care responsibilities. There are also many who are still waiting for their foreign spouse to be allowed to return home to them. There are also many expats who still can't visit their family without risking being unable to return to their home and job in Malaysia. There are many reasons why there is still a big group of people who can't reunite and we hope the Malaysian government will take steps to allow them to reunite again soon!

Meanwhile, we would like to let you know that we will be meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato' Saifuddin bin Abdullah tomorrow to talk about this issue and to hand over this petition to him. 

It would be great if we could get more signatures before then, so please consider sharing this petition with your friends and family. We will keep you updated about any new developments related to international travel for partners and family members.
