Water Petition Delivered to Downing Street

Yesterday we sailed on a flotilla down the River Thames, with actor Danny Dyer and a giant inflatable poo, to deliver our petition calling for public ownership of water to Number 10 Downing Street.
Over 350,000 of you have now signed, an incredible number, and we are so grateful to every one of you. But it can't stop here.
The water industry is not improving and the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, is talking about 'increased public control' rather than public ownership. These are not the same thing.
We are tired of politicians doing the bare minimum. Of making it look as though they have taken action on this vital issue just to avoid taking the meaningful decisions that we all know are actually required.
So we have delivered the petition, along with each of your names, to the Prime Minister but unless he moves towards public ownership, we will keep going.
We hope to reach 500,000 signatures next, so please continue to share the petition and let's push for what we all want. Thank you again for the support.
