Today, after nearly 5-months, I received a check for the money I was owed by Wells Fargo Bank. As most of you know, I was forced to live in my car for months, with failing health, while Wells Fargo covered up for the law firm they hired to foreclose on my home (Cal-Western Reconveyance), who had gone out of business, several months before they sold my home, for $300,000 more than what I owed on the loan, and then filed bankruptcy and closed their doors and kept the rest of the money for themselves. I was very fortunate. I was put touch with some State Assembly attorneys who tracked down the people who had my money and expedited its return to me. Many of Wells Fargo's victims are not as fortunate as I was, and are at the mercy of the criminals at Wells Fargo Bank. For anyone facing this same situation, I cannot say enough about our State Assembly members, or what an invaluable resource they can be in a situation like this. The loan that was foreclosed on was a Home Equity Line with a $200,000 balance. My home was sold for $516,000. Although I asked for the accounting of funds that Cal-Western must have surely done at the time of the sale, (joke) an accounting was never provided to me. Instead, the law firm who had taken over for Cal-Western, sent me an email with a simple A-B=C accounting of funds. I don't expect I will ever see an actual accounting, because I doubt one even exists. Evidently, in the end, Wells Fargo and/or the law firm representing Cal-Western Reconveyance, couldnt resist ripping me off just one last time before we parted ways, and the check I received was about $1,000 short of the email accounting they sent me. (photo) Sadly, although I begged Wells Fargo to expedite the process, the money didn't come in enough time to clear the bank, so I could save my belongings. The people who bought my house, want me to pay them $9,000 to get my belongings back and the bank (Wells Fargo) says the funds won't clear or be available to me for up to 10-days and so I will lose everything. Wells Fargo Bank....Criminals to the end.
