We, a devoted family from Liberty County, GA, have been torn apart. Our beloved dogs, also my husband's cherished service animals, have been unjustly taken from us by Voices 4 the Voiceless-V4V of Hinesville GA. These two canines, who have been part of our family since they were puppies, are more than just pets. They are our children, our joy, our world. Their absence leaves our hearts and home empty.

We are accused of abuse, an accusation that is as far from the truth as it can be. Our dogs have been nothing but pampered, to such an extent they have been featured in a 2023 Calendar preserving their endearing images. Never has a smear on our dog parenting been hinted until now. Separation from us is not just causing hardships to our family, but also fretfulness and unease to these innocent animals who have always known us as their family.

My husband, as a service dog handler, is now unsupported and even his functional autonomy is compromised. The importance of service dogs in improving overall mental and physical health of their handlers is a well-documented fact (American Kennel Club).

Our plea transcends beyond a personal appeal. It is a call for fairness, for the right of a responsible service dog handler, for the respect a loyal pet deserves. Recognize our heartache, understand our predicament, and help reunite us with our cherished canines.
