Tomorrow, we'll be delivering a new petition that calls on the NT government to return Lee Point and Casuarina Coastal Reserve to the care, ownership and protection of Larrakia families.

If you live in the NT, or you're an Aboriginal person from the NT, will you please join us in signing and sharing our new petition? It is currently sitting at 792 signatures and we're trying to get it to 1,000 before it closes at midnight tonight.

This petition will build on the public pressure we created together with our last petition which was tabled by Senator Lidia Thorpe at the Federal government level. This one will be tabled by Independent MLA for Johnston, Justine Davis. It calls for a phased approach to the return of Lee Point to Larrakia people, as follows: 

• An immediate moratorium on all land clearing at Lee Point
• A commitment to shifting resources and working with all Larrakia family groups to co-manage Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Lee Point
• Legal ownership of Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Lee Point to be transferred to Larrakia families along with the resources to care for Country in a fully self-determined way by 2030
