Friends,

Yesterday was heartbreaking. Larrakia people and our supporters stood against DHA’s bulldozers, trying to stop the destruction of our lands. Hundreds of our Sacred trees at Lee Point were destroyed in front of our eyes. Larrakia voices and the voices of Darwin’s community are being ignored by the NT government to prioritise the greed of industry over the care of people, Country and culture.

The good news is we have a plan. But we need your help to pull it off.

With the NT election coming up in August, we need to ensure our message to Return Lee Point to the Care and Protection of Larrakia People is heard loud and clear by every politician looking to win votes in Darwin.

We’ve just launched a Larrakia fighting fund so we can buy things like billboards, flyers and posters to be placed in strategic electorates. Donations will also be used to cover things like transport, meals and time for Larrakia people to protect our Sacred Country.

🌸 Will you make a donation to our fighting fund?

I’m also really excited to launch our campaign t-shirts to the world. My beautiful niece Taleena has created a design that perfectly encapsulates the love and care we have for Lee Point. We appreciate any purchases of these t-shirts to help amplify our message and cause in your circles.

All of the money raised will go back into the campaign to Return Lee Point to Larrakia People. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.

With strength and determination,

Laniyuk

P.S. If you can’t make a donation, you can help by sharing the petition with family and friends or watching and sharing our videos:
