I woke up this morning to the devastating reality that four bulldozers, 30 security guards and a contingent of police officers have enclosed around Lee Point to destroy sacred Larrakia Lands. 

We need as many people as possible to go to Lee Point right now to stop this destruction or to bear witness to it. If you are in Darwin, please join Larrakia people and Darwin locals - we need as many people as possible. Your presence will make a difference.

If you can’t make your way to Lee Point, then we need your help in getting the government to listen. Earlier this month, local community group Friends of Lee Point met with the NT Planning Minister Joel Bowden and were told that the decision to revoke the permit for the clearing of our old-growth bushlands sits with the Labour cabinet.

Please call the following Labor Cabinet Ministers and tell them that they need to urgently put a halt to the desecration of Lee Point and Return the Land to Larrakia People.

These poor beautiful trees have been home to so many creatures and given so much air, food and Spirit and asked nothing in return - just that we love and protect them.
