As a member of the PSJA community, I am baffled and outraged at the current status of our district. District administration’s top leadership has seen fit to tyrannically wave their power as a weapon of terror to intimidate their own employees into submission. Today I learned that they are seeking to tarnish the reputation of Dr. Alejandro Elias and PSJA High School by removing him from his duties as principal of that high school, which under his tenure, is now rated as the “Most resilient High School in the State of Texas” and the “Most Spirited High School” in the State as well. Over the 2 years since the majority has had power, they’ve promoted a system of nepotism, cynicism, and favoritism for their own close friends; benefiting only their political agenda and lining their pockets, instead of doing what would benefit the three cities, the staff, and ESPECIALLY the students. I am here today to implore the concerned citizens of Pharr, San Juan, and Alamo, to take a stand; stand against the power hungry leadership that seeks to tarnish the reputation of PSJA, who sought to give their own children more than the common students, who chose to advance their political agenda on the backs of our own people, and who do not seek the betterment of our district... only their own. We demand that Dr. Alejandro Elias be returned to his post and we demand that ALL BOARD MEMBERS take action to right this injustice  by putting this on next Monday’s agenda and by a show of hand vote so everyone knows who the cowards and the puppets are. I have witnessed my mother be disrespected and abused on the board and I have stood with her on board meetings. I have heard the despair in the voices of those the board swore to represent and protect and I will no longer stay quiet. This is the time we come together as a family! This is the time to say ENOUGH! I humbly ask that you sign the petition and come stand with Dr. Elias this coming Wednesday August 3rd at 5:30 pm. Our community will thank you for it! This coming November remember to vote your conscious, and vote for fairness for ALL of PSJA..
