As a resident of the great state of Karnataka, I am deeply attached to the names, stories, and history that shape our identity. Our state and its cities bear a rich legacy that has been carefully preserved and passed down through generations. Now, our government is considering changing the name of our beloved district Ramanagara to South Begaluru. But the original name Ramanagara of our city represents much more than just a name. It echoes our culture, heritage, and the spirit of our people. I, along with countless others, firmly believe it is good enough and should remain unchanged. India, as a land of diverse history and heritage, places immense importance on the preservation of its cultural identity. Changing the name of a city risks eroding that identity and the connection its people have with its history. Therefore, this is a call to the Government of Karnataka and all its citizens, to value the historical importance of our city's name. Let us not alter what has been established and cherished for centuries. Instead, let us strive to preserve and promote our outstanding legacy.
