Resurrect Vine, the Original Short-Form Video Platform

Resurrect Vine, the Original Short-Form Video Platform
The Issue
In the era of fast-closing windows for TikTok in the U.S, I, like many others, reminisce about original short-form content platform, Vine. The sudden take off of Vine in 2013, with over 40 million users just seven months post-launch, substantiates the irrefutable demand for such platforms. In light of recent developments threatening the survival of TikTok, a wave of nostalgia has washed over me and I ask for your support in my personal quest to bring back Vine.
Vine's closure in 2016 left a void that no other platform has been able to adequately fill. Unlike TikTok, Vine encouraged creativity within a strict six-second time frame, pushing us to be innovative and original in a condensed format. Many notable personalities found their first taste of fame on Vine, using the platform as a springboard for their careers. Supporting this petition is not just asking for the resurrection of an app, but the revival of a platform that enabled the discovery of diverse talent and creative expression.
Join us in calling on Twitter Inc., the former owners of Vine, to reconsider the decision to shut down Vine, and realize the immense prospective value they possess in offering a sturdy platform that promotes unique and ingenious content. Let’s encourage them to bring Vine back to life for us. Please, sign this petition.
