Wags is so much more than just a dog. He is a personality, a comedian, and a warm, articulate presence who has brought laughter to generations. To us, he is family. We are writing to you today with a deep, sincere request: Please, help us bring back the Wags we know and love by restoring his full-sentence dialogue.
Why This Matters
For 14 wonderful years (1999–2013), Wags wasn't just a character who barked or relied on others to speak for him; he had his own voice, his own jokes, and his own meaningful interactions.
When we watched the Ready, Steady, Wiggle! Season 7 episode, The Wiggly Art Exhibition, and heard that classic Mic Conway audio again, it brought back so much joy. It was a beautiful reminder of the wit and charm that Wags brings to the screen when he can express himself in full sentences. That moment of hearing his true voice again was a highlight for many of us, and it left us dreaming of a future where that level of character depth is the standard once more.
Our Request
We believe that Wags the Dog is at his best when he is an active, speaking member of the team. By returning to full-sentence dialogue starting with the next season, you would be:
Celebrating a Legacy: Honoring the incredible foundation built by the classic era.
Empowering the Character: Letting Wags show his full personality, wit, and unique "Wiggly" perspective.
Delighting the Fans: Giving both long-time supporters and new viewers a Wags who can truly connect, share his thoughts, and be the articulate, funny friend we all adore.
