Since launching this campaign, the issue of TOEFL and GRE access for Iranian students has received attention from international media, including RFE/RL’s Radio Farda, IranWire, and Deutsche Welle.

ETS has confirmed that TOEFL and GRE testing in Iran has been paused following recent OFAC regulatory changes, while the organization continues to review possible paths to resume services.

Although ETS has clarified that Iranian nationals can continue testing outside Iran, many students still face significant financial and logistical barriers when traveling abroad solely for an essential academic exam.

This petition continues to call for a fair and sustainable solution: restoring lawful access to TOEFL and GRE testing for students in Iran.
