Hi again! ❤️ If you have a possibility please come to the Crystal River city council meeting this Wednesday, August 24, at 5:30pm! We need to get our rights back and restore the original beach hours. We have almost 500 signatures in less than a week in our tiny community! We only need 40 more! Let's get it to 500 by Wednesday!
There is a local father who brought his three kids to the beach every day in the evening to swim and play - does anyone know him? Can he come tomorrow and speak up for his kids? Please contact him if anyone knows him. Everyone else with children - please come and stand for your kids future.
The local working families and children are about to lose access to the beach for 7 months (!!!) starting in September! The local restaurants and businesses will have less customers and less revenue. The shorter hours will make the beach even more crowded than it is now. This city council decision is damaging to us at all levels, and it can and should be reversed. Nobody else is going to stand for us if we don't. The City of Crystal River government should serve our needs and not their selfish interests. Thank you.
