As a student at Rick Reedy High School, I find it perplexing and frustrating that we have access to YouTube, Tidal, and Pandora but not Spotify. This inconsistency does not make sense and hinders our ability to enjoy a wide range of music during our free time.

Spotify is one of the leading music streaming platforms with over 345 million active users worldwide (Statista, 2021). It offers an extensive library of songs across various genres and languages. The platform also provides educational podcasts that can be beneficial for students.

Blocking access to Spotify seems arbitrary considering other similar platforms are accessible within the school's network. This restriction limits our choices and does not contribute positively to the diverse interests of students.

We urge the Frisco Independent School District (FISD) administration to reconsider this decision. Let's bring back balance in our digital environment by restoring Spotify access at Rick Reedy High School.
