It would be good to be able to report some good news - SORRY!!

The update is just more of the same sad sad story. The extra travellers as well as the 'tolerated' travellers are still in the large area of the coach and car park taking up the 9 coach spaces and the 41 car parking spaces. Last weekend the travellers tried to charge visitors an extra £10 to park in this area after they had coned it off - using intimidation when they refused - see comment from one of the signatories!!

We  heard that coaches visiting the village at the weekend for the illuminations also had issues being told not to drop their passengers on in what they deemed to be a safe place. Arranging to pick up passengers is even more problematical. If they village expects coaches to bring visitors - as we do - then the local authority should provide approapriate areas to drop off and park - NOT give such an area to a desiganted tolerated traveller as they have done. 

The area needs clearing and making secure so that only coaches and cars can use it for parking.
