We, the longtime patrons and supporters of Moonburger, express our concern regarding the recent decision to introduce animal products (beef, etc) to their menu. Moonburger started with their flagship location in Kingston, NY and expanded to New Paltz, New York City and beyond due to the hefty backing of vegetarian and vegan consumers. Our patronage and advocacy have been instrumental in shaping Moonburger into the beloved establishment it is today. 

Not so long ago, Moonburger was a vegetarian haven, founded and firmly rooted in a commitment to promote ethical and earth-friendly food choices. We rejoice in all restaurants that provide for vegetarians and vegans, but Moonburger was a pioneer, a beacon of light in a largely carnivorous food landscape.

However, the recent turn of events is immensely disappointing. The introduction of beef to Moonburger's menu departed from its original mission, and this decision neglects the vast vegetarian and vegan community who have been its most steadfast customers and promoters.

While we respect the right of every business to innovate and adapt, we strongly advocate for maintaining Moonburger's vegetarian mission. It not only enables us to dine without constraints but also sends a powerful message regarding sustainable and ethical food choices. Adding beef to the menu, on the other hand, undermines the vegetarian ethos that Moonburger represented and dishonors the support we have provided throughout the years. In addition to editing/deleting the myriad complaints from their social media posts. 

We respectfully urge Moonburger to reconsider its decision and restore its vegetarian menu. This step will not only protect the rights of numerous vegetarians and vegans who have supported the restaurant but also reestablish Moonburger's identity as a pioneer in promoting eco-friendly and compassionate food choices.
