We, the loyal users of GoodNotes, are asking GoodNotes Ltd. to honour the “license” we paid for — and to restore full access to GoodNotes 6 or whichever previous version works best for the user. Or subsequently a refund if the user has abounded all hope of this app. 

GoodNotes 6 was marketed as a one-time purchase with lifetime access. Many of us chose it over subscription based note apps because of that promise. But after the release of GoodNotes version 7.0, the app was automatically updated or replaced, and users discovered we could no longer revert to the version we paid for.

 

The new version has:

Removed or changed core features many users relied on

Introduced significant bugs, some of which have destroyed users hard work, as a student I see this is academic sabotage. 

Offered no official way to restore GoodNotes 6 functionality or stability

 

This isn’t just frustrating, it feels like a breach of trust.

We supported GoodNotes because it was a high-quality, fairly priced product that respected its users. We are not asking for anything unreasonable, only that GoodNotes uphold what it originally promised.

 

We call on GoodNotes Ltd. to:

Restore GoodNotes 6 or other previous versions availability on the App Store for lifetime license holders.

Or provide full refunds to users who paid for lifetime access but lost that version, and
Publicly commit to transparency about future updates and license terms.

 

GoodNotes has a chance to show integrity and rebuild goodwill with the community that made it successful. We hope they’ll do the right thing
