I'm writing to provide an update on the recent developments following our petition to reinstate Gladisa Guadalupe as the Artistic Director of the Cleveland Ballet.

Firstly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and commitment to this cause. Your voices have been a powerful force advocating for fairness and justice within the Cleveland Ballet community.

Since the submission of the petition, I personally emailed the chairman of the Board of Cleveland Ballet on Monday, 12-04-2023, enclosing our letter along with the petition. However, to date, there has been no response from the Board, which is disheartening. Nevertheless, this lack of response will not deter us from continuing to raise our voices and advocate for what we believe is right.

As of now, there has been no official decision regarding Gladisa Guadalupe's status within the Cleveland Ballet company or the School of Cleveland Ballet. Furthermore, we have learned that the interim artistic director, Cynthia Graham, has also resigned. Unfortunately, no statements or clear explanations have been provided to the public or the press regarding the ongoing situation or the future of the Cleveland Ballet.

While these recent events may be discouraging, let us remain steadfast in our pursuit of fairness and transparency. Our collective efforts have not gone unnoticed, and the significance of Gladisa Guadalupe's leadership remains a crucial factor in maintaining the artistic integrity and future success of the Cleveland Ballet.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and persist in our calls for a fair resolution. Your support remains invaluable, and I encourage you to stay engaged and share our cause with others who may support our efforts.
