Restore Funding for Vaccines for Vulnerable Children

Restore Funding for Vaccines for Vulnerable Children
The Issue
Measles cases are rising sharply across the country. More than 1,200 infections have already been reported this year, including the tragic deaths of two unvaccinated children in Texas and an adult in New Mexico.
In the middle of this crisis, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has installed a new vaccine advisory panel at the CDC—one that is now considering changes to the current measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV) vaccine schedule.
This comes after Kennedy fired the previous committee of experts and replaced them with figures who have questioned vaccine safety and promoted discredited views. Pediatricians, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, have already withdrawn from participation, calling the process politicized and dangerous.
Now, with measles spreading, the new panel may weaken the guidance for when and how young children receive their first MMR vaccine.
The science is clear: the current schedule is safe, effective, and essential for preventing outbreaks. Weakening it now will cost lives.
We’re calling on RFK Jr. and the CDC to preserve the current measles vaccine schedule and reject any changes driven by ideology rather than evidence.
You don’t protect children by delaying protection from deadly diseases.
Sign this petition to demand the CDC keep measles guidance in the hands of real public health experts—not political appointees.
