🚨 NEWS: Today we refresh our call to immediately restore cartoon murals for children in asylum centres after reports suggest that Jenrick (the Immigration Minister at the time who ordered the removal) regrets the decision and says his intention was to treat these places as “law enforcement environments”.

Treating centres for child refugees as law enforcement environments undermines the fundamental purpose of these spaces - to provide safety, support and care for vulnerable children fleeing traumatic situations.

We have written to Yvette Cooper and Seema Maholtra today to restore these cartoon murals. And to demonstrate a more compassionate approach to refugees.
