Hello everyone,

Recently I received a message from a journalist asking whether Robert Jenrick’s resignation - and Michael Tomlinson’s appointment meant that we'd have an opportunity to restore the cartoon murals.

We're really hopeful that this is the case which is why the campaign has written to Michael Tomlinson inviting him to meet, discuss the impact of restoration - and see how this community can help. We shared with him this petition - with all 123,939 of you behind it. And reminded him that the More In Common poll showed that 69% of people in the UK felt that the decision to remove them was wrong.

To help with this, please leave an encouraging comment on why Michael Tomlinson should consider engaging with this issue of making sure children arriving in the UK feel welcome and safe. We have an IG post here if you'd prefer to leave a comment there.

Lastly, we are looking to hear from those in Mid Dorset and North Poole. If you are in the area and interested in helping with our campaign, please could you email cartoonsnotcruelty@gmail.com

Thank you as always for your support!

P.S Our local community actions are still having impact in spreading compassion and solidarity with refugees. We're going to be speaking about some of those and the recent art workshop led by University of Oxford students at the Solidaritee Annual conference in London. Find out more here.

And please get in touch if you have an idea for action!
