Take the 15 minute tour that allows you to see a passenger train running from Goldstream to Victoria through the Capital Regional District in real time. The train even stops at stations along the way!
With Passenger Rail being discussed in the CRD and the Reconciliation Corridor Agreement signed with the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, anticipation for rail is building!
Watch the video, because there is simply no better way to see how great this would be for Island Travel than to see it with your own eyes. There's also no better way to dispel the misinformation being generated by the anti-rail movement than to see a train cruise along its dedicated right-of-way, stopping only at stations.
At the end of the video the camera circles the end of the line where you can see that the piers for a rail bridge still remain! Did you know that Victoria fought to keep the rail bridge when the Heritage Bridge was replaced? Restoring a rail bridge would bring trains right into the heart of downtown on its way to the next destination.
We're hoping that the successes we're seeing in the CRD spreads to all the cities and towns from the Goldstream to Courtenay and out to Port Alberni!
Thanks again for all your support!
All Aboard!
