Restore Ancestral Lands to Indigenous Peoples of South Africa

The Issue

We are the descendants of Indigenous peoples who once roamed South Africa freely. We carry the burden of a painful history that is still haunting us today—a history marked by the dispossession of our ancestors' lands without their consent.

This dispossession has not only stripped us, the so-called "coloured people" of South Africa, of our ancestral lands but has led to systematic injustices and cultural erasure. Our ancestors, once proud custodians of this land, saw their identities and futures stolen by colonial powers. The scars of colonialism, apartheid, and land dispossession have scarred us for centuries and still linger today, perpetuated by the ongoing inaction and complicity of the South African government.

Under the banner "Unresolved Pain: South Africa's Ongoing Legacy of Dispossession and Injustice," we seek to bring our shared struggle to international attention, aiming to reclaim what is rightfully ours—our ancestral land.

We call on global communities and international institutions to support our plight for justice and restoration. We aim to build a legacy founded on equity, justice, and respect for our cultural heritage—a legacy we can proudly pass on to future generations. Please, lend your voice, sign this petition, and stand in solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples of South Africa to reclaim our ancestral lands.
