The Issue
Proposed 28th amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America
Presented by We the People on March 09, 2025
We the People of the United States of America, in order to restore accountability, justice, and integrity to our government, address the corruption wrought by external influence and misinformation, and secure the blessings of liberty and justice for ourselves and our posterity, do hereby propose the following Amendment to the Constitution.
28th Amendment
Section I: Elimination of External Influence in Elections
No external organizations, corporations, or entities shall exert influence over Congress or electoral processes.
The Federal Government shall establish and fund a platform for all political candidates, providing equal access and opportunity to for any citizen to present their platforms and get on the ballot regardless of party affiliation. All citizens shall have access to this platform.
Candidates and political parties shall neither accept nor utilize external funding or advertising. All campaign resources shall be limited to the federally provided platform.
The platform shall include a transparent record of voting histories and actions taken by candidates who have previously held office.
All voters must be lawful citizens of the United States of America with proof thereof.
Section II: Transparency in Legislation and Expenditure
All bills, resolutions, and funding proposals introduced in Congress shall be made fully accessible to the public in their entirety prior to enactment.
Every expenditure of public funds by the United States Government shall be meticulously tracked, with detailed public disclosure specifying the purpose of each payment and the identity of each recipient.
Section III: Prohibition of Economic Exploitation by Public Servants
No member of Congress, nor any public servant, shall engage in insider trading or leverage privileged information for economic gain for any person or organization.
All persons serving the People, including their immediate family and affiliates, shall uphold the highest standards of integrity in financial dealings.
Public servants shall disclose all gifts, donations, and income received during their tenure and for a period of eight (8) years following their service.
Section IV: Integrity in Public Information
No government official, person, organization, or media outlet shall knowingly disseminate false information to congress or the public.
All statements presented as fact must be verifiable; unverified claims must be explicitly identified as opinion.
Section V: Justice in the Courts
All courts within the United States shall prioritize substance and equity over procedural formality, adhering strictly to the Constitution of September 17, 1787, and the land jurisdiction of the United States of America.
No individual shall be barred from assisting another in any court proceeding, ensuring equal access to justice.
Section VI: Accountability for Constitutional Violations
Any intentional violation of the Constitution of September 17, 1787, or its amendments, by a public official shall be deemed an act of treason against the American People.
Such breaches shall be met with swift and just consequences as determined by law.

Our Demand:
We the People, in which the sovereignty resides, demand the immediate consideration and adoption of this 28th Constitutional Amendment by Congress or a Convention of States. We call for public hearings wherein any opposition to this amendment must be openly justified to the American People. We seek a government accountable to its citizens, transparent in its actions, and unwavering in its fidelity to the Constitution.
