Dear friends,

I want to share an update on the steps we’ve taken to ensure our concerns are heard. While the Archdiocese of Atlanta does not directly oversee the Diocese of Charleston, the Diocese of Charleston is part of the Province of Atlanta. Within this province, the Archbishop of Atlanta serves as the Metropolitan Archbishop.

With this in mind, we have forwarded our ongoing attempts to reach Bishop Jacques not only to the Vicar General of Charleston but also to the Office of the Archbishop of Atlanta. Our hope is that by bringing our concerns to multiple offices within the Church, we will gain more traction and visibility for the issues we have raised.

My intent is to send out our letter and signed petition via certified mail this week. We remain committed to approaching this with persistence, unity, and respect, and we will keep you informed as we continue this effort!
