INTERNATIONAL STATEMENT

IN SOLIDARITY WITH VENEZUELA AND IN DEFENSE OF PEACE IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

We, political organizations, social movements, unions, youth, women, intellectuals, artists, and popular leaders of (Place the Country), express our firm rejection of the United States military deployment in the Caribbean under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.

This deployment constitutes:

1. A violation of the Treaty of Tlatelolco, a cornerstone of denuclearization and regional security.

2. A violation of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, adopted in 2014.

3. An affront to the fundamental principles of international law.

Reports from the United Nations (UN) have confirmed that neither Venezuela nor the Caribbean are drug transit sites, disproving the narrative used by Washington to attempt to legitimize its armed intervention and militarize the region, threatening peace.

On September 5, 2025, countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States expressed in a declaration their condemnation of the extraregional military deployment in the Caribbean by the United States, noting that it represents a direct threat to the peace, stability, and sovereignty of our peoples.

In this regard:

1. We demand that the governments and parliaments of our countries speak out clearly and firmly against this imperial escalation.

2. We call on the international community to stop this dangerous offensive, which could usher in a new cycle of violence in the region.

3. We reaffirm our full solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela, whose right to sovereignty and self-determination is inalienable.

Peace in Venezuela is peace for Latin America and the Caribbean. The sovereignty of our peoples is not negotiable. Each signature supporting this statement is an act of dignity in the face of interference and a collective commitment to life, social justice, and freedom.
