Thanks for your participation for historic designation of the First Baptist Church of Venice. As you all know, the FBCV is considered the heart of the Oakwood subarea of Venice.

Adjacent to the First Baptist Church is Oakwood Park. Our park is also embattled against designer policies that result in the further displacement of the native Oakwood residents, the culture bearers of the Venice Beach culture.

Designating Oakwood Park as a Historical space will reinforce and advance the equity and economic efforts set forth by the victory of the FBCV historic designation.
