Hey guys!
I apologize for not having an update last week, my university was on Spring break! But in that week that I was off (as well as this week), we managed to reach 151 signatures! That means we managed to bring on 74 more supporters in over a two-week time frame! I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the support and the comments I’m seeing on the petition- the comments that are made public are a great way to spread awareness and bring attention to the problems that individuals are facing! (Especially if you have shared a personal story).
Updates for this week:
I have contacted the local Rescue Mission with no such luck in hearing back from them, but we will keep pushing forward. We have also been contacting and looking into a few other organizations to get the word around, but nothing has came out of those either. We will keep trying. So, if anyone has any suggestions- please contact me via the email I attached to my Day #31 update! (Listed below).
We’re really petitioning to make a difference, so we aren’t giving up just yet. We have a long way to go, and with your help- I know we’ll get there! Please share this petition around to your friends and family, and get them to sign. Right now, there are thousands of lives at risk, especially now since bad weather and excessive heat are moving into certain areas of our country. Thousands are at risk for heat stroke and various other problems (such as not having enough food), and these times are crucial! With your support, we’ll be saving lives – one signature at a time- to ensure that everyone has the basic necessities that are required to live a daily life.
See you all next week!
