Amanda K. Miller, the Assistant Prosecutor for Vinton County, Ohio, has repeatedly abused her power—harassing and intimidating citizens, including vulnerable families and minors. Rather than serving as an impartial officer of the law, she has used her position to pursue personal vendettas, punishing those who question her motives or ethics.

Ms. Miller recently harassed and intimidated a grieving 15-year-old girl—publicly accusing her of dishonesty, mocking her mental health struggles, and demanding the child’s personal information in writing. (screenshots below) This kind of conduct is not only unethical, but dangerous, and completely unacceptable from anyone entrusted with the protection of children.
Making the incident even more concerning is that Amanda Miller also serves as attorney for Vinton County Children Services. In this critical role, she has used her authority not to protect vulnerable children, but to further traumatize and intimidate minors and their families. Numerous families have experienced retaliation, intimidation, or trauma as a result of Miller’s conduct.

Amanda Miller has allowed personal biases to override justice—refusing to prosecute serious crimes and misusing her office to settle personal scores. This dangerous misuse of prosecutorial discretion has eroded trust in the legal system and put the community at risk. Amanda was forced to resign her position as Magistrate Juvenile Court Judge of Tuscarawas County Ohio in 2024 over intimidation, bullying, and improper conduct. Just recently a private investigation uncovered a systematic effort to conceal her spouse's manslaughter charge by quietly having a hearing, dismissing it, ending probabtion in time for her to run for, and be elected, as the Counties Assistant Prosecutor before eventually becoming Judge/Magistrate. This dangerous misuse of prosecutorial discretion has eroded trust in the legal system and put the community at risk. Amanda must understand as an official entrusted to protect a community that she has standards and codes she must be held to.

Vinton County Prosecutor’s Office is already being accused of serious corruption, unethical conduct, backroom deals, illegal actions, and ex parte communications, all in a coordinated effort to help friends and allies and sidestep the rule of law that the office swore to uphold. Mr. Archer allowing the employment of Amanda Miller after knowing her reason for seeking employment is a betral to the citizens of Vinton County and surrounding Counties who are affected by Amanda's actions.  (CPS is a division of SCOJFS which serves Hocking, Ross and Vinton Counties). Simply put, Vinton County Community no longer have faith and trust in the VCPO to protect them.

Vinton County deserves an assistant prosecutor who serves the public good, not personal grudges, prosecutes criminals for crimes committed, and definetly not because of personal insecurities or damages to egos. We demand that Amanda K. Miller be held accountable for her misconduct and that she step down from her position immediately.

Harassing children in an official capacity as an attorney for the agency responsible for protecting children is deeply concerning and is further evidence of an individual not fit for a role where emotions and animosity must be left at the door. This position is not a joke or a way for an individual to carry out personal vendettas
