There are 2 things you can do today to drastically reduce the pain and devaluing (over density, traffic, environmental, storm water runoff, loss of community character, etc.) to our community by the extreme overdevelopment proposed by the owners of the Woodmere Club.
The Town of Hempstead will be voting on their proposed “Coastal Conservation District” which aims to change the zoning at the site of the Woodmere Club property to allow for development of 59 homes on approximately 25% of the property, maintaining the remaining approximately 75% as open space/recreation and clubhouse/hospitality (vs. the developers extreme density plan for 284 homes over 100% of the property).

This is what we have been asking our representatives for. Let's support them with overwhelming show of force. The developers are already planning a lengthy presentation at the meeting tonight. Let's invest some time today to save years of pain in the future and show them how united our community is against outsiders who want to profit at the expense of our families!
