Thank you so much to those who have already added their name to this petition. It is starting to create a powerful document to show the size of local objection to this application. Please ensure that every adult in your household has signed it (the more signatures, the better).

In addition, please could you email  Uttlesford District Council (planning@uttlesford.gov.uk) with the reference: UTT/22/2997/OP as the subject. Our objection will carry even greater gravitas when backed up by individual emails too. An example of an email encompassing suggested pertinent points (which are grounds to object to a planning application) would be:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I writing to raise my objection to the proposed planning application number UTT/22/2997/OP. The grounds for which I am objecting to this application are:

1. The application conflicts with your democratically approved Neighbourhood Plan and is contrary to policies 1, 2, 4a, 4b, 5 and 9
2. The application conflicts with the UDC local plan and should not be granted as it is contrary to policies S3, S7, ENV 4 and ENV 5
3. The application will result in the loss of best and most versatile agricultural land conflicting with Paragraph 180 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
4. The application will impact on 3 Scheduled Monuments which are nationally protected contravening Chapter 16 of the NPPF and I would like to add my objection to Historic England's strong objection

These points are in addition to the impact on the environment, compounding of the lack of water resources, augmentation of the water run-off/drainage problems due to existing poor sewer infrastructure, vast addition of traffic to the local single track road network and further burden upon local school places. The proposed application does nothing to address sustainability and has very little on-site infrastructure which would be necessary in order to create a dwelling of this size.
