Petition update#saveflamingoheightsUPDATE: Developer Appeals Planning Commission Project Denial

Mar 18, 2023

Following the Planning Commission's (PC) March 9th denial of the Flamingo Heights 640 Destination Resort glamping project the developers have appealed the decision to the Board of Supervisors (BOS).  What does that mean?  It was expected and is in line with the process of project planning.  Depending on the appeal, specifically, if the project has been amended there are two likely outcomes: a) it will be heard by the BOS and a decision will be then be made, public comment will be heard or b) the BOS will refer the project back to the PC if it has been altered.  We will keep our finger on the pulse, keep you all posted and remain committed to preserving rural living in the Homestead Valley.

A date has not been identified for when this would be taken before the BOS but we will get the word out once the date has been announced, in the meantime continue to stay connected at www.saveourdeserts.org.*
