We are doing great on our petition drive as you can see by the meter on Change.org! I recently pulled a spreadsheet of the signers and noticed that most were listed as "Knoxville", with some "Farragut's" listed. I'm assuming that the location information is populated from whatever is on your login profile if you're logging in with either your Google or Facebook accounts? Probably when most of those 2 types of accounts were set up, the 37934 zip code was assigned to Knoxville. That problem STILL exists today as a lot of databases still do not recognize 37934 as Farragut. If you have the time, it would be great if you could go in and change your profiles to show as Farragut. We know that the large majority of the signers are from Farragut since the petition notifications were only put out on NextDoor and the Farragut Citizens FB page. We also have never sought to artificially inflate our petition responses by using Charge.org's promotion tools. I think must of us would consider that deceitful, which we most certainly are not trying to be. But I can see Farragut trying to disenfranchise those of us that have taken the time and opportunity to voice our opinions against their version of a Town Center by requiring us to prove that all signees are residents of our town? We will fight that if need be but hopefully that will not become an issue. The Town Center has an impact on far more people than just residents and as such, anyone that lives, traverses, or does business in our town deserves the right to also have their voices heard regarding this development. Your willingness to take a stand against this project as proposed, as well as demand more transparency, and communication by/from our elected officials is greatly appreciated. Hopefully together, we can make the Town Center something all of us can be proud of. Thanks again, R
