Citizens for a Safe WLS
Nov 13, 2017
We are more than halfway there to our goal on this petition. Patrick Hickey received 3,066 votes, so our goal is to garner at least 3,067 signatures to deliver to the Board of Education to let them know that over 3,066 community members believe that enough is enough. With over 1,600 signatures as of 11:00am on 11/13/17, we are in good shape.
The vote total on November 7th did not show the whole picture of the Washington Local community. The community isn't only the voters who live in WLS. The community is the teachers, staff, alumni, and family members of students, many of whom live across the country, not along Alexis Road. Everyone connected with WLS should have a say in how their district is managed, especially when the mismanagement lends itself to embarrassing articles in the Washington Post, and a potential danger to the students and staff of the district. Alumni across the country are answering difficult questions as to what is going on back home in Toledo.
Please take a moment to share this petition with alumni, friends and family who are connected to WLS. We need to send a strong message to the WLS Board of Education that we're not gonna put our students or staff at risk.
Thank you,
Citizens for a Safe WLS
