Hi,
I wanted to update you about an article in the Rugby Observer today in which a local landlord takes issue with my campaign. As I have said from the start, my concern is with the over-concentration of HMOs in the town centre wards, not a blanket criticism of HMOs in general.
I hope I made this clear in my response in the article https://rugbyobserver.co.uk/news/landlord-says-claims-hmos-harm-the-community-are-offensive/
This petition has been signed by nearly 400 people now (and growing, including those who signed paper versions), and I will be delivering it this week to the Conservative leader of Rugby Borough Council, Cllr Sebastian Lowe.
I intend to use my position as a newly-elected councillor to make enquiries at the Council as to why it has not limited the number of HMOs in the town centre wards. I will act in the best interests of the whole community and continue to give voice to residents whose views have seemingly been ignored for too long.
Best wishes,
John
