Signed, sealed, delivered!

After announcing we would deliver the open letter to Minister Simon Harris today with 1800+ signatures, the Minister agreed to meet us at the Department (pictured above LtoR are John Walsh (TCD), Frank Jones (IFUT), Nicole Volmering (TCD), Kingston Mills (TCD), Jane Ohlmeyer (TCD), Minister Simon Harris and Luke O'Neill (TCD)). We had a very constructive discussion with the Minister, raising our concerns around the lack of consultation on the legislation, outlining our desire to be included in the Oireachtas hearings and also urging him to take onboard the amendments to the legislation in the open letter. The Minister was very responsive and said he or one of his officials will attend our meeting in TCD on the 8th of May (please join us here). Our next concern is also full and proper representation of our views at the upcoming pre-scrutiny stage of the bill before the Oireachtas Committee.
