Reschedule Haunted Mansion Holiday opening date

The Issue

Having loved the Haunted Mansion since I was a young child, it was always my favorite attraction at Disney Parks. The charm, the spooky thrills, it captivated my imagination, and added a magical essence to my childhood. Also, Jack Skellington from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" was one of my favorite Disney characters when I was young and even now I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. However, while I appreciate the creativity and spirit of the Haunted Mansion Holiday, it leans heavily towards the Christmas theme, a stark contrast to the Halloween season.

Currently, the Haunted Mansion Holiday opens as early as August. Given that Christmas is traditionally celebrated in December, it's weird that a Christmas-themed overlay is scheduled so far ahead of the actual holiday. Halloween is a time to celebrate the spooky, the eerie, and the ghostly, not to replace these cherished themes with Christmas decorations and stories. By the time Halloween night rolls around, one would have expected to be immersed in an authentic Haunted Mansion experience, not a Christmas crossover.

Opening the Haunted Mansion Holiday in August diminishes the Halloween specific ambience of the Haunted Mansion, which many guests look forward to experiencing, especially during the Halloween season. Without a doubt, the mansion should reflect the spirit of Halloween and maintain it's general spooky vibe throughout the month of October.

The opening of Haunted Mansion Holiday should be adjusted to around early November through January to preserve the authentic Halloween experience at Disney Parks (Interestingly enough, January is technically still Christmas time. Traditionally, the 12 days of Christmas started on the 25th, going through the 5th of January). This way, Halloween enthusiasts and fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas can enjoy the best of both worlds, in their appropriate seasons.

Support this cause to urge Disney Parks to reconsider the scheduling of the Haunted Mansion Holiday. Join me in petitioning for a timeline that respects Halloween traditions and preserves the enchanting spooky experience for guests during its rightful season.
