Following our really successful W.A.T.E.R. Group Update meeting last Friday, I am once again appealing for volunteers to help us establish a formal committee for the Wriggle Action Towards Environmental Resilience (W.A.T.E.R.) Group.
We urgently need a Treasurer and a Secretary. These two roles are essential if we are to become a formally constituted community group, open a bank account, and apply for funding to deliver local environmental projects.
Unfortunately, over the past three months we have already missed out on four funding opportunities simply because we do not yet have a formal committee or bank account in place.
The time commitment for these roles is relatively small, but the difference they will make to our community could be enormous. By helping us become established, you'll enable the group to access funding for projects that improve our local environment, manage water more effectively, and build resilience for the future.
