There are two bits of news today, and we can't fully share either of them. Firstly we have an excellent pre action letter going to the City of London Corporation from the lawyers we have been able to hire thanks to your support on Go Fund Me (and do send money that way, not on the change.org prompt which doesn't help us).  There are some very specific very hard questions we would like to ask, but the way it works is to fire on quite a wide front (fairness, transparency, good governance, the general rationality of the decision), and save the targeted fire for when they reply. Now that we have been given a date to quit we have to face the prospect of legal recourse to staying put, which is another ball game. But we are determined because we think the short notice period is not just general disobligingness, but is intended to shut down the issue before information that we think will prove our case has, by law, to be put in the public domain.

Second bit of news is that we have further support from our local MP Tulip Siddiq and also from a senior political colleague of hers, who will be identified as soon as this new source of support has firmed up.

Finally we have had some really generous congtributions on Go Fund Me and we should acknowlege these, so we will be making personalised hand painted and named Breton tableware on request to anyone who has stumped up more than £50.
