Yet, I've encountered a perplexing inconsistency: every other elementary school in Batavia has figured out how to seamlessly incorporate a scheduled snack time into their school day, while H.C. Storm Elementary School has not. This omission is troubling, particularly because the reasons cited, such as food allergies, income disparities, and janitorial concerns, are challenges that other schools in the area have managed to overcome.

Children are in a critical phase of growth and development. Their small bodies need consistent nourishment to fuel their energy, support concentration, and improve educational outcomes. By providing a scheduled snack time, we can help students refuel, maintain focus, and enhance their academic performance.
