As a frequent visitor to Aldergrove Athletic Park, I have noticed a consistent lack of cleanliness and sufficient facilities in the park's washrooms. This issue impacts not just me, but all community members who use this public space regularly. Families, sports teams, and individual visitors all deserve clean, safe, and well-maintained bathroom facilities.

The current state of the park’s washrooms fails to adequately serve the community. The facilities are often unclean, supplies run out quickly, and the number of available restrooms is not sufficient to meet the growing demands of the park’s visitors. According to the City of Langley, Aldergrove Athletic Park is one of the most frequented recreational areas in the region, attracting hundreds of visitors weekly for sports events, family outings, and leisure activities. Yet, the lack of proper sanitation measures undermines the park's potential as a clean and enjoyable space.

To address these concerns, I urge the City of Langley to implement more rigorous cleaning schedules to ensure that the washrooms are serviced multiple times a day, particularly during peak usage periods. Increase the number of facilities to accommodate the high volume of visitors, which will help alleviate congestion and reduce waiting times. Regular maintenance checks should be instituted to repair any existing damage and prevent deterioration. A task force dedicated to monitoring sanitation standards could be invaluable in keeping the facilities up to date and ensuring funding and resources are appropriately allocated.
