As a parent of five children, two of whom are still in diapers, I know firsthand the challenges and discomfort of changing a child in a public restroom. With the advent of technology such as smart glasses and watches that can easily take pictures without our knowledge, the privacy of our children has never been more at risk. Every parent desires to protect their children from exposure, whether it be from strangers or potential sex offenders who could be lingering nearby.

Public restrooms, which cater to everyone, should not compromise on the safety and dignity of our youngest members. Unfortunately, most public bathrooms are designed in a way that exposes our children to open spaces while we change their diapers or outfits. This not only invades the privacy of our children but also places them in a vulnerable position.

With a simple redesign of restroom facilities, we can create a safer and more comfortable environment for parents and their children.
