Today's quick update. I wasn't able to get to court yesterday (regarding my brother's wife). I had zero dollars to get there. (Six hours round trip.) I emailed my public defender early in the morning to let him know. I told him that I could do it via Zoom, if the Municipal Court would allow. After speaking with the prosecutor, he advised that it probably wasn't necessary (I was on standby, just in case) and that he would be requesting an adjournment for late December, AFTER THE VASPA HEARING IN MORRISTOWN, TO SEE HOW THAT HEARING GOES. I had already asked if this Municipal charge could be dropped, since she filed for the VASPA afterwards in Superior Court. I said, Can't we just leave it up to Superior Court? He seems to agree. There's very good likelihood that both cases will be dismissed, I've been told by countless sources. But, obviously still extremely stressful and also extremely time consuming, being that I have to go back & find all of my evidence (which I do have) to defend myself against her roughly 50 false allegations. Really fun stuff. Especially, when my only child has been living with her since June & she had everything to do with him going NO CONTACT with me, ONE YEAR AGO. At that time, she became his emergency contact, she was the one who helped him with all of the college planning and SHUNNED ME FROM THE WHOLE PROCESS. She got to prep him for prom, take the family pics at his friends houses that day, the list goes on. Disgusting.
Just an FYI, before she started dating my brother in 2007, THERE WERE NEVER ANY COURT MATTERS BETWEEN ME OR A FAMILY MEMBER (OR ANYONE ELSE). I WAS CLOSE WITH MY WHOLE FAMILY. NO ONE NOT SPEAKING TO THE OTHER, ETC. I WAS LOVED AND I LOVED BACK. I ATTENDED EVERY FAMILY FUNCTION WHICH WAS PROBABLY MONTHLY. NO REAL ISSUES. (Past family issues from my childhood, but we had all moved on...) Slowly, she started problems between and separated me from my brother (who was my best friend), then my mother, then my cousins, then my aunts, then my father and finally my own child. These are FACTS, that I can back up.
And honestly, WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GONNA HAPPEN, WHEN YOU DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS TO A PERSON? TO YOUR BROTHER'S SISTER????
AND WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN REACH OUT TO COMMUNICATE & FIX THE ISSUES??
AND DON'T EVEN ANSWER MY CALLS OR TEXTS- TO COMMUNICATE AND FIX THE ISSUES???
DO YOU ACTUALLY EXPECT THAT A PERSON ISN'T GOING TO TALK ABOUT IT?? AM I NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK ABOUT MY OWN LIFE???
I'M JUST GARBAGE, RIGHT... NOT DESERVING OF ANYTHING, NOT EVEN A VOICE.
SINCE WHEN DID ****NONTHREATENING**** WORDS BECOME "THREATS" OR VIOLENCE??? SHE ACTUALLY SUBMITTED TEXTS THAT I SENT AS GROUP TEXTS TO MY FAMILY- (TRYING TO COMMUNICATE!!!!)--- AS EVIDENCE.
SINCE WHEN IS TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH *****MY***** FAMILY, ****MY BLOOD, NOT YOURS, CONSIDERED EVIDENCE FOR HARRASSMENT??? ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT I'VE BEEN GASLIT & IGNORED FOR SO LONG, FOR NO GOOD REASON, THAT OMG, FORGIVE ME,
THAT I'M ACTUALLY UPSET????!!!!
WTF HAS HAPPENED TO FAMILIES??? TO THE WAY THIS WORLD EVEN FUNCTIONS NOW????
IT'S ALL INSANITY.
Anyway,
I DIDN'T HAVE TO APPEAR AT ALL YESTERDAY AND IT IS ADJOURNED UNTIL LATE DECEMBER, AFTER THE VASPA HEARING.
I have faith that good will triumph over evil. And I have faith that truth will prevail.
