🏆 So, I didn't want to mention this at all, to anyone, until this was done. This past Tuesday, as I said in my last update, was the third child support hearing in Orange County, NY (via Zoom). The NY Child Support division initiated violation proceedings on my behalf. (Honestly, when NJ transferred it to NY in May, which I did NOT want, I started calling & emailing NY child support with all of the evidence & stories... because I knew that NJ child support wouldn't.) Anyway, this court matter was just me v. my ex-husband. Tuesday was the third time that he did not appear. (He was successfully served for all three.) All three times it took me HOURS & HOURS TO PREPARE. AGAIN. Because the more time that passes, the more shenanigans that take place & all the more evidence for me to provide. I was allowed to speak to the judge each time. Obviously, I was livid & crying & begging for something to finally be done. In every child support court appearance, after providing the ridiculous amount of hideous evidence for over fifteen years in the system, I ask that my ex PLEASE BE ARRESTED & ORDERED TO PAY THE TOTAL AMOUNT IN A LUMP SUM & ASAP. $17,000.00.
And as I stated in my last update, regarding the NJ child support court matter with my son, after doing the math of what my son helped me with in 2023-24 & the amount owed for the year that we had been torn apart, I asked the NJ judge that he split the arrears- which he did.
5K will go to me. 12K will go to my son.
****But, he didn't order the lump sum to be paid. Instead, he lowered the weekly payments (that are never made) from $201/week ($151- support, $49- arrears) TO $100/week!!!!
My ex WAS NEVER, THROUGH THIS WHOLE MATTER, ORDERED TO STOP PAYING.
BUT, HE CONTINUED TO NOT PAY.
NJ COULD CARE LESS. EVEN WITH AN ORDER THAT SAYS IF HE MISSES ONE PAYMENT, HE CAN BE ARRESTED.
***AGAIN, NO ARRESTS--- EVER--- FOR NONPAYMENT. AND NO ARRESTS--- EVER--- FOR NO SHOWS IN COUNTLESS CHILD SUPPORT TRIALS.
☆☆☆ WELL, ORANGE COUNTY, NY CARED!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
☆☆☆ THIS PAST TUESDAY, THIS NY JUDGE ISSUED A WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST. THANK YOU, JESUS!!! ✝️
☆☆☆ AND, SHE ORDERED THAT THE BAIL BE THE FULL AMOUNT OWED IN ARREARS- $17,000.00.
☆☆☆ AND, SHE ORDERED A MONEY JUDGEMENT FOR INTEREST!!!! (THAT WOULD MOST LIKELY BE A DEBT THAT HE WOULD LATER BE ORDERED TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON, I WAS TOLD.)
SO, THE WARRANT WAS SIGNED & ISSUED ON THURSDAY. I CALLED THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERRIFF'S DEPT A FEW TIMES A DAY, FROM TUESDAY UNTIL YESTERDAY. I DROVE THEM CRAZY. I KEPT BEING TOLD THAT THESE CASES AREN'T EXACTLY A PRIORITY, THEY GO AFTER THE VIOLENT CRIMINALS FIRST, THAT MY EX MIGHT NOT BE AT THAT RESIDENCE ANYWAY, THAT THEY MIGHT NOT DO IT AT ALL OVER THE LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND, YADA, YADA, YADA...
I TOLD THEM COUNTLESS STORIES OF THIS SITUATION, I CALLED THE WARWICK POLICE DEPT (WHERE HE SUPPOSEDLY RESIDES) COUNTLESS TIMES- GIVEN THE RUN AROUND, I EVEN CALLED THE TWO OTHER (NJ) TOWN POLICE STATIONS WHERE I HAVE SOLID ADDRESSES FOR HIM (THOSE TOWNS WERE ACTUALLY MUCH NICER & SYMPATHETIC, BUT THEIR HANDS ARE TIED UNLESS THE WARRANT WAS SENT TO THEM). ANYWAY, I JUST PERSISTED. IT MUST'VE WORKED.
☆☆☆☆ I RECEIVED A CALL LAST NIGHT FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT THAT HE WAS ARRESTED & THEY HAVE HIM IN CUSTODY AT THE JAIL.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A WIN!!! SOME JUSTICE!!!!!!! 🙌
HE IS BEING HELD THERE UNTIL A COURT HEARING ON TUESDAY MORNING.
IN THE MEANTIME, I'M CONTINUING TO EMAIL--AS I'VE DONE FOR MONTHS-- NJ CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES (MY CASEWORKER- WHO DOES NOTHING), NY CHILD SUPPORT, DHS, ACF, THE NY JUDGES INVOLVED (THEIR COURT CLERKS)... I JUST COPY EVERYBODY...
AND I WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE SURE THAT THAT THE TOTAL AMOUNT IS INFACT, ORDERED TO BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE RELEASING HIM.
ENOUGH ALREADY.
OVER FIFTEEN YEARS OF DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. TONS OF EVIDENCE. NOTHING IS EVER DONE!!!
