I am a firsthand witness to an unjustifiable issue at Marist Penshurst that deeply concerns me. I see my peers, people of color, consistently being treated with hostility and disrespect, predominantly by my white teachers. These teachers show clear favoritism towards white students. The instances of bias are blatant and frequent, creating a racially charged environment.

Acts of racism that I have observed and personally experienced include an evident distaste shown by these teachers towards non-white students, explicit rudeness, and unjust aggression. The situation is blatantly unfair, and it is impossible to ignore the aggressive demeanor that these members of staff employ when interacting with us.

It is urgent to address this systemic issue as it is causing profound harm to the education and well-being of several students. Not only does this behavior create an unequal learning environment, but it also impacts the emotional well-being of the students it affects. It's critical that all students, regardless of their racial background, feel respected and valued in their educational institution.

We are not asking for special treatment, but for respect, fairness, and equal opportunities for everyone. We firmly believe that the fight against racial bias needs to start at the core, with the educators who are entrusted with molding young minds.

We urge the administration of Marist Penshurst to seriously investigate these claims of racial discrimination, to take the necessary actions against the people accountable and, more importantly, to implement an effective anti-racism policy school-wide. It is high time we end racial intolerance and create an inclusive educational environment for everyone.
