We propose that the IRS provide a detailed, transparent report six months after the annual submission of US tax returns. This report should include crucial information such as how each individual's taxes are spent, the average taxes paid per citizen, and pie charts showcasing a breakdown by category. Such transparency will provide taxpayers with a clear understanding of how their contributions are utilized to shape our country's future.
Furthermore, taxpayers should have the ability to influence where a portion of their money is directed. We advocate for a change in the tax return process, allowing individuals to specify where 10% of their tax dollars will be allocated. Should a taxpayer choose not to make a selection, this portion of their taxes will be placed in a general pool.
