The Issue

I am Jane Doe. As a survivor, hearing that kind of speech and seeing people stand up with that much passion hit me hard, because this is not abstract to me. This is real. When I say we are done, I mean we are done being asked to stay quiet, done being treated like our pain is a public debate, and done watching survivors carry the weight while institutions protect themselves.

This moment is bigger than one person. The voices behind justice for Jane Doe, believe women, protect Jane Doe, and Cornell are all pointing to the same truth: survivors need to be heard, protected, and taken seriously. Too many people know what it feels like to speak up and then be met with doubt, silence, or a system that feels built to wear you down. That is why so many of us are saying together: we are Jane Doe.

Cornell must respond with real action, not statements that fade when attention moves on. I am calling on Cornell to strengthen survivor protections, create a clear and transparent accountability process, and ensure reports of sexual harm are handled with urgency, dignity, and seriousness. Survivors should have access to meaningful support, clear reporting pathways, and a process they can trust. Accountability cannot depend on how loud the public outcry becomes.

If you believe survivors deserve more than words, sign this petition. If you are tired of seeing people speak with courage and then get failed by the systems around them, sign. We are done waiting for basic protection and accountability. We are Jane Doe, and we are demanding change now.
