The Issue

My son has always been an outstanding student with a lifelong dedication to his education. When he received the opportunity to attend Arlington Baptist University (ABU), he was ecstatic, determined to chase his basketball dreams and make a mark in his academic pursuits; however, those dreams were abruptly crushed when the staff at ABU denied him the chance to continue his education. They falsely accused him and dismissed him from the college on unfounded grounds.

To make matters worse, ABU claims that he now owes them $9,000 to retrieve his transcript. This is a staggering amount, especially considering the short span between the start of school in late August and his dismissal in early September. This injustice goes beyond academics and basketball; it has derailed my son’s opportunity to earn a degree and accomplish his aspirations.

This is not an isolated incident. Many other students have fallen victim to similar unjust dismissals, trapped in a cycle of deceitful financial claims and educational setbacks. These actions by ABU not only compromise the futures of young, eager minds but also violate trust and educational ethics.

It is imperative that Arlington Baptist University takes responsibility for their actions. We demand that ABU refund the money unjustly claimed from dismissed students and clear their transcripts, allowing them to pursue their education elsewhere without financial or academic barriers.

Arlington Baptist University must rectify these wrongs to restore trust in their institution and uphold the integrity of their educational commitments. This is a call to the board and administration of ABU to acknowledge these grievances and take immediate action.

Sign this petition to hold Arlington Baptist University accountable and support the students whose academic journeys have been unfairly halted. Your signature can help right these wrongs and empower students to continue their education without the shadow of unwarranted debt or academic stagnation.
