Thanks to Chief Eric Blanchard and a few Dispatchers for taking the initiative to REWARD places that ensure direct dialing of 911. -Employees from Aransas Pass PD will be out and about checking local businesses with multi-line phone systems to make sure they are in compliance with Kari's Law. Kari's Law will come in to effect September 1, 2016, all businesses that have multi-line phone systems must be able to directly dial 911 without the user dialing an initial number (e.g. dialing 9 to dial out) Last week the Cedar Lodge, Super 8 and Microtel were the businesses in compliance! Good job guys!
