Update on progress with House of Commons petition

Hi, I posted this update just over a week ago. We have a petition started for the House of Commons asking the government to limit the "time to answer" to ten minutes. Normally, I would support free enterprise and just say to someone who was not getting answered on time "find another provider". Unfortunately, we do not have enough competition in this industry in Canada (thanks to a lot of factors). As a result, the telcom providers abuse us when it comes to customer service. This has to stop. My adventure started with three days of trying to get ahold of someone to help me make a simple change to my 98 year old Moms account. We pay exorbitant rates to these companies and they cant even answer the bloody phone? A Communications company?? If it was not so pitiful it would be funny. We have 350ish signatures right now and are pushing to get to 500. Once we get to 500, the petition will be read into the House of Commons and the government is then forced to provide us with a formal answer. I am also appearing at the CRTC's hearing in three weeks to investigate customer service in the telecommunications industry. On top of that, this subject will be featured on the CBC National news on November 22. Please join us and sign our petition. Thank you for your support - link below.
